Nma Agada is a development economist and practitioner who is building a remarkable career in sustainability, impact investing, and impact evaluation. This stems from her passion for designing and deploying sustainable solutions that are climate- and gender-smart for frontier and emerging markets. Nma is particularly passionate about the climate-gender nexus in resource sectors - agriculture, clean energy, and digital and financial inclusion.
Following her discovery of this passion, she pivoted from a thriving start in risk consulting at KPMG to ESG as a pathway into international development. In recent years, Nma has worked on a plethora of development consulting projects across Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia, all focused on leveraging private sector engagement for growth and impact. These include projects on climate finance, growth strategy and product development, outcomes-based financing, and market assessment for diverse organizations. She has a bachelor’s in economics from Bowen University, Nigeria, and a master’s in international development studies from The George Washington University, USA.
In her spare time, she loves to read, write creative non-fiction, explore foods from other cultures, traveling and curate inspired moments with friends and family.
