Imagine a world without extreme poverty.

Imagine a world where every child can laugh, learn and play - because they have clean water, full bellies and a healthy start.

Ending extreme poverty is hard. But Collectively, we can do anything.

But how?

The answer is simple - the world needs more Margarets
(and Elijahs, Augustines, and Faiths).

Because when people have the job skills to serve their neighbors -  communities can finally flourish.

"The Adventure Project stands out to me because of how engaged the company makes me feel. I regularly receive photos and handwritten notes (such a rare thing these days) about what's going on behind the scenes and how grateful they are for my support, which makes me realize that I truly am helping impact the world through them."

Why were you founded?
Co-Founders Jody Landers and Becky Straw
Hello and welcome!

We are often asked why we started The Adventure Project. For me, the answer is simple.

One third of parents in Africa have lost a child before their fifth birthdays. No parent should watch their baby die, especially something preventable, like hunger.

We knew there were people out there who believe that too. People who care about social justice and want to do more to help others thrive.

But where to start? It starts with jobs.

Hand-outs are always appreciated, but a job will change your life. So we decided to start a charity like no other. One that "adds" impact by supporting "ventures." From well mechanics fixing broken wells to healthcare workers caring for newborns, each job you help create is essential.

Our goal is to make it easy and impactful for you to help.

In the last decade, our movement has grown to 11,000+ incredible people. Together, they have helped create over 2,000 jobs.

Those entrepreneurs are now self-sufficient and have moved their families out of poverty. Most importantly, now they are the heroes in their communities! Together, they are caring for over 2 million neighbors each day.

But, we're just getting started. And with COVID-19, climate change and global inflation making things worse (especially for women), we're working hard to do even more.

We hope you take the next step by joining our community.

Why are you called The Adventure Project?

Glad you asked. We named ourselves The Adventure Project because we support "ventures" (jobs) that "add" lasting impact to improve communities.

While others give aid or handouts, we "add venture."
