Proud of her Native American Echota and Alabamian roots, Nicky has been in New York since 2004 (and still loves it!). She holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology and got her start in NYC alongside Becky at charity: water in the early years of the organization. Following that experience, Nicky has spent much of her professional career helping grow nonprofits and startups in operations, communications and systems. When not in the office or field, Nicky enjoys traveling and taking on new challenges, from climbing Kilimanjaro to learning to scuba dive! Nicky encourages you to follow along her adventures on Instagram @nickyyates.
Tesi has spent decades marketing for various organizations. For 10 years Tesi and her sister-in-law held an annual fundraiser raising thousands of dollars for TAP. She also had the opportunity to travel to Haiti to watch stove entrepreneurs in action. After witnessing TAP’s model firsthand, Tesi became an ardent supporter and is thrilled to have joined the team. When Tesi isn’t working for TAP, she is an Editor for two local magazines and a co-host of Mama Bear Dares, a podcast that explores the hidden and visible injustices of the world and the people working to bring justice to those spaces. Tesi lives with her beloved, Zach, and their 5 children in Michigan. You can find her on Instagram and Twitter @tesiklipsch.
