Prior to starting The Adventure Project, Becky spent three years helping to launch charity: water, an organization bringing drinking water to people in developing countries. Becky has consulted for UNICEF’s Division of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in International Social Welfare.
Before joining The Adventure Project, April worked at the Council for Economic Education and Scholastic Corporation. In those roles, she led the marketing departments and created award-winning pro-social campaigns and partnerships with corporations and government agencies that benefit children and their families. April holds a Master's in Public Administration from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and is a proud mom of two, Hitchens and Clementine.
Proud of her southern and Native American roots, Nicky has been in New York for over 15 years (and still loves it!). She holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology and got her NYC start alongside Becky at charity: water in the early formation of the organization. Following that experience, Nicky has spent much of her professional career helping grow nonprofits and startups. When not in the office or field, Nicky enjoys traveling and taking on new challenges, from climbing Kilimanjaro to learning to scuba dive!
