Jamilah is married and has three boys, ages 10, 6, and 2. She is both a farmer and a KickStart Irrigation Agent.
Before using the pump, Jamilah carried heavy cans of water and spent three hours each day irrigating her land, but her productivity remained limited.
Today Jamilah has expanded her farm, created seven vertical gardens, and sells her produce for income. With the pump, irrigation takes only 30 minutes, and even her sons help. She also rents the pump to a mushroom farmer for added income.
Jamilah hopes to sell more seedlings, expand her seed shed, and use social media to grow her business. She wants to instill a love for farming in her children.
