Linda is a single mother with a 12-year-old daughter. She started a seedling business in December using an irrigation pump, which she also rents to neighbors as an Irrigation Agent.
Before, Linda made steep and exhausting trips to a riverbed to fetch water. It was time-consuming and limited her farming.
Today she has tripled her pumps, scaled from 80 to 500 trays, employs three workers, and keeps 15 pigs. She sells widely through her network and was the first to repay her pump.
Linda plans to build a raised water tank, expand her seedling business further, and continue improving her family’s standard of living.
