Mariama is married and has six children, two of whom are married. Her youngest is 15. She is a former maize and peanut farmer who now works as a borehole operator.
Before, Mariama walked an hour for water, rationed just 30 liters a day, and her children often fell sick. Hospital fees were heavy.
Now she manages a borehole, provides clean water, and her family enjoys better health. She collects 300 liters a day and farms more productively.
Mariama hopes to support her youngest child’s education and improve both her farm and the health of her community.
