Joyce is a widow and mother of four children, ages 22, 13, 10, and 3.5. She has been working at Mukuru for one and a half years.
Before joining Mukuru, Joyce supported her family through farming, but as a widow with many expenses, it was difficult.
Now she earns a consistent salary that covers school fees, saves on charcoal costs, and supports her new house construction. Her family enjoys a healthier home.
Joyce hopes to remain independent, provide her children with education, and improve her family’s living conditions.
